This prestigious honor is bestowed upon 25 rising stars in information technology (IT) who bring leadership, innovation and value to their organization and are primed to become future CIOs. In addition to this honor Elizabeth received the only "Stand Out Award" for being a recognized IT Team Builder. Elizabeth accepted her awards at the CIO Ones to Watch awards ceremony held April 30th at The Hyatt Huntington Beach in Huntington Beach, California.
Elizabeth Rockowitz has been an IT professional for the past 22 years. During the past 17 years her focus has been in the healthcare arena. She believes this is a very exciting time for healthcare and information technology as it ".has changed how we practice medicine by providing "just in time" data to the clinical workflow". In her present role Elizabeth's Clinical Enterprise Technology team provides solutions that meet business, research, teaching and clinical needs. Elizabeth believes strong teams create strong employees who aspire to reach higher goals and meet tough challenges. Her vision and strategic planning has enhanced patient care and enabled improved performance processes across the continuum of healthcare. Elizabeth's experience includes several successful IT projects with productive vendor relationships and negotiations as well as building highly motivated and competent teams
